Situated on Athens’ most prestigious avenue (Av.Vasilissis Sofias) this clear-cut building of the first postwar period seeks a new face to reflect its new use. The design aims to underline the original building’s architectural features and proportions while it elegantly helps it find its place within the Athenian contemporary built environment. Glass translucent louvers and two different types of ivy (a traditionally “Greek” climber) are used as primary tools to that end.
